the airbag light is not part of the mot, only the abs light is

Stake my life on it being the orange seatbelt tensioner connector under the seats at the front. Raise the seat up as far as it will go and slide them all the way back for easier access. Either unclick them from their holders and tape them to something else to keep tension on the connector block or cut the connectors off and hard solder the wires together.
BTW none of these mods will set the airbags off. Make sure you check both as on mine it was the passenger side.

Had same problem with mine.Was told it was dirty contacts under the seats and they would need to come out to be cleaned.I just Slid both seats as far forwards as they would go then as far back as they would go then put them in back normal positions and hey presto light hasnt come on since.Give it a try wot you got to loose
