Lexia not communicating with a C5?

Post by gumby6371 »

I took my laptop round to a mates house to reset the airbag ecu on a C5 Picasso but it wouldn't pick up the car properly.

It wouldn't let me in using the build code but gave the option to enter the VIN and RPO which I did and it then ran a global test but found no errors, if I did a specific test on the airbag ecu it lost comms.

Airbag warning light is on and a message pops up when the ignition is on stating airbag or pre-tensioner fault but Lexia says all is well, any ideas?

I'm assuming the fuse to the EOBD2 port is ok as it ran the global test?

I've had problems getting Lexia to work properly on the C5, it lets you do the global test, but won't let you talk to the ECUs.

I read somewhere that there was a known problem, but can't remember if it was the C5 owners or not.

I read this once too....http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... =3&t=42848

A what? I've read somewhere that moody PP2k/Lexias don't work on C5s but the Picasso is either a C4 (boom!) or earlier than that it's a Kzahrah.

I have used Lexia on my 02 plate Picasso too, but the injector ECU wouldn't reply. Everything else worked fine, just can't read injector values.

Its an Hdi90, so its bulletproof anyway... :cheesy:

I still haven't got lexia to work on the car but I did realise that in the daylight when I'm not freezing my nuts off that it was a C4 not a C5
