sumps

Post by BEALEY »

will the 2ltr8v hdi sump fit on the 2.2 hdi engine only reason i asked is other day my sump cracked when i went over a speed bump and cracked the bottom of the lower part of the sump its because of the deeper part at the back of the sump it sits lower than the sub-frame they look the same apart from the lower reservoir bit on the bottom of the 2.2hdi sump just wondered if anyone had thought about this or done it before any help is appreciated

thanks danny

Hi Danny, I checked service box a while ago as my sump is gash, but the part numbers are different.

Sumps from a C5, 807 and 607 will fit if they have the 2.2Hdi ( DW12 ) engine.

Brand new is £250, second hand is £100 from Ade - bugger all on eBay.. Try the Coupe club also as there are many DW12s over there.

Maybe someone can simply repair yours? The A/C pump needs to be removed first before the sump can come off.

Be careful, the 2.2 has two balancer shafts in the sump that are driven off the crankshaft. Any damage to them or their bearings could be goodnight for your engine.
