Women!

Post by Bailes1992 »

So I am now a house owner.
Now the other half has decided she should decorate which to we fair she's doing a cracking job at!

Now I've been doing lots of work in the evenings.
I put a new loft ariel in, installed a booster, run new coaxes everywhere and fitted new tv points.
I then run a few Cat5e's around the house and fitted a few data points.
Then I pulled in a 10mm cable for the shower.
And I've had various floorboards up and getting gear ready to do certain jobs.

But... Because you can't really see anything that I've done she thinks I haven't done anything.

So today I got lecture off her about how she's managed to decorate two whole rooms in 3 days and I've been at the house 2 days and every evening this week and hardly done anything.

Correct, he should use the builders method on her next time.

To build a house you dig footings, fill the footings, build the structure, then install all electrics and plumbing.

Then the glory boys come in (The painters) who make it all pretty and get all the glory.... :cheesy:

I get sh*t when she can't use her car because it's broken (she only ripped the bloody front bumper off on a kerb the other day and had a go at ME for it :?), THEN I get sh*t because I've spent all bloody weekend and most of the last fortnight working on her car, so not only was dinner late (I do the cooking) but I haven't been spending enough time with her and the kid!

You can't win
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

On Wednesday, I took HER car for an MOT and delivered it back in one piece, she took MY car and complained that the gears were 'cronky' clonky? in the Volvo. If it'd have made any difference I'd have explained that my excellent Getrag M66 gearbox can offer 'resistance' until the special oil warms though but f*ck it; as far as she goes my gearbox is sh*t.

Its called Ear Ache for men mate.

When you get into a relationship its what happened, just so happens that the other half blocked the loo and went to work the other day, nice surprise I woke upto!

What the cure I can recommend is a simple one thats been past down for generations - Wow honey, you done a great job - or just turn the hearing aids off aka selective hearing!
