change crank pulley without changing cam belt?
Hi everyone. I have a 2002 406 hdi 110. The crank seal is leaking and i believe there is some play in the crank pulley. A local tyre shop also pick up on it. Is it possible to change the crank pulley and seal without having to change the cam belt? My friend is helping to change the belt and hp diesel pump this weekend and i can really afford to buy the crank pulley just yet but in worried it will ruin the new aux belt and tensioner i put in the other week as the bottom of the belt is slapping about. Thanks in advance.

The hp pump is being replaced as its leaking from the seal on the top of it where the sensor is.

mite as well do the cam belt as the time take to do the pump is the same with or with out the belt being done
as for the crank pulley it can be changed at any time

If its a dual mass pulley it may be falling apart.
