Beeping? / Brake fluid level low

Post by Moos3h »

Hi all,

I have a beep and the error 'brake fluid level low' when I put my handbrake on. It stays there for about 5 secs then goes off.

I've looked at the fluid level and it seems fine. Anyone any ideas? Should I be worried that there's a leak or summat?

Cheers for the help!
James

Hi chap.

This is very common. It is the micro-switch fitted to the handbrake lever.

You just need to replace it with a new one. Do a search on here, there are some pictorials as to how to get to the switch.

Me, I just give the handbrake a good old work out and it stops it happening

I asked the same question about 3-4 weeks ago. It ends up being the switch(about £6), apparently they should of been changed under warranty but its obvious quite a few got through. It's an easy job to fix
