Front suspension thoughts please

Update time...

I called round at a mechanic mate of mines house last night, a friend of his who's a green flag recovery driver was there with his van.

The pair of them jacked my car up and gave everything a bloody good pull and prod, the conclusion being the noise is definitely top mount and the spring and drop link look virtually new. My mate said it may just need the bearing greasing but he'd order a complete top mount kit just in case and send it back if I didn't need it.

The odd thing is ever since its been up on the jacks and pulled about I haven't heard the dunk...dunk...dunk at all???

Could it have gone out of alignment some how and popped back in while the car was jacked up?

Could be it just re-aligned the top mount by having it jacked up.

Good news about the springs
