Outside temp sensor

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Post by TooT »

This comes up all the time. Had it myself not so long ago. The ambient temp sensor is in the passenger door mirror (was on mine D9 HDI). Its the little black box on the bottom of the mirror casing. Just cut out the old one and solder in a new one. The whole mirror comes off cleanly so you can ever take it indoors and solder it. The sensor cost me £13 from main dealer. Definatley worth a go yourself, its really straight forward. I'd dread to think what Peugeot would charge you to do it.
