Re: Yatour mp3 in the Yoyo
So it's tucked away, fairy nuff. I spose, if nothing else, all I need to do is find somewhere to mount the end of a USB extension cable and I can do the same

Pic if anyone caresbenczuk wrote:I have my iPhone in a (generic) holder mounted to the left of the MFD screen. I removed the left bit of trim and the original mount fits between the dash and the side of the MFD housing. If i could be bothered I would cut the trim so it refitted round the holder, but you cant see much of the gap with the phone in.

When did you turn into Marvin the Paranoid Android?benczuk wrote:if anyone cares

And the final verdict on the Yatour is.... Meh, get the connects 2 one. It does the job but after switch off it takes about 20 seconds to carry on, during which time it displays CD05 00:00 99 and can't find any disks if you try to change it. It's leaving pauses between tracks (not good for a mix CD or where one track leads into the next) and it's still searching in silence. It's a shame I didn't realise the connects 2 one had got cheaper while I was umming and arring if the Yatour would work in both cars but I suppose I'd have always have wondered if it was more-or-less the same thing in a different box for a few dollars more. Now we know.
Anyway, seeing how Frank wired his in, I've stuffed it underneath the Pug's HU and run a USB extension so it's hanging into the centre console above the ashtray. I did toy briefly with the idea of hot glue gunning it into the empty socket next to the OBD but I decided I'd probably snap it off with my knee at some point. I guess something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Connects2-USB ... 58adede6fe would be better but 25 quid (postage to here is 10 quid) seems a bit pricey for what it is so I'll probably make something. Eventually.
Incidentally, the D9 is all systems AOK now. I think I mentioned somewhere that it was in the body shop having some of it's dodgy respray sorted out. Unfortunately they were driving it about their yard with an almost flat battery (my own fault, I lent my charger to Goran) and it returned home in limp-home mode with a plethora of faults. They all cleared except the MAP sensor which came right back, so I reseated the connector which seems to have done the trick. I've just taken it for a drive down the old highway and back along the motorway where it got a boot full. It feels like it's on rails after the yoyo, which seems to wander about all over the place. I also had a bit of a "pucker moment" - on the motorway I pushed it up to 180kmph and it was at this point I realised I hadn't shut the bonnet properly...

Oddly enough no, every other orifice has a sensor but not the bonnetWelly wrote:No BONNET OPEN meshage?

Nah, it came like that, I needed to trade that awful Navara in as no-one wanted to buy it and this was the best D9 I could find at a dealer's (far smaller market here). I could see it had been painted but it didn't look too awful. Eventually the paint started flaking off in a few places, plus I was still driving about with a blue bumper...

Re: Yatour mp3 in the Yoyo
I'm sure mine used to tell me the bonnet was open, I think the MFD coloured-in the whole bonnet part of the 'car' on the screen too. Maybe you has a duff sensor? something else for you to check

Neever of mine has ever informed me the bonnet was open - maybe that info gets mux-ed and van-bussed elsewhere?

Re: Yatour mp3 in the Yoyo
I'm wondering if I was dreaming about a bonnet open related warning now?

Re: Yatour mp3 in the Yoyo
Oddly enough on the semi the bonnet switch is connected directly to the BSI but on the full it goes to the alarm ecu
