Any money left in it?
I have been offered a 53' plate 406 110 S Estate for £600.It's got 125k on the clock and is MOT'd till end of Sept and taxed till Dec.It's a demo + 1 owner with a big history file. The chap says it has a knocking at the back end but other than that it's a clean and tidy motor.I was thinking of buying it and moving it on to make a few quid but how much do you reckon is left in it or is it a waste of time and effort.?

Check similar condition models on Scumtree/fleabay - I should think a nice clean one with good history will fetch around £1100 - £1200, once detailed and the knock is sorted....

Re: Any money left in it?
It really depends how much needs spending to sort the knocking out, ECP are doing the upto 50% off deal again. Can you get a good look at it with a pry bar to try and pin it down?
My old 1.9 flew off the drive at £500 and that wasn't the tidiest bodywork wise but the engine was sweet as a nut.
If the bodywork is nice I'd see if I could get it for £500 and I'd say a comfortable £800+ around my neck of the woods when it's knock free. Slap it on at $1000 ONO.

Agreed, sort the knock (probably droplinks), give it a service and I think you could make £400-600 on it
Plus the warm fuzzy feeling of keeping another '6 on the roads
