2.2hdi problems and A.B.Ss fault

Post by BEALEY »

wondered if anyone could help me my car has blown 3 standard intercoolers one been a brand new one so i have bought and fitted a aftermarket cooler. in order to fit the new cooler i have had to remove the air dosers on front of my engine and replace it with a adaptor piece and now i have a few engine problems if temperature outside is below 20 degrees my car drives fine for 100 yards and then looses revs completely and white smokes. if you turn it off and start it its fine again for another 100 yard and does it again. but if its above 20 degrees everything is fine and ok. ive been told that the lower air doser is a pre heating unit wich i have removed and this is causing the problem. the faults that come up are egr problems and pre heating circuit stuck shut. wondered if anyone here knew where i coule have these mapped out to get rid of the problem i have a galletto flash tool if it helps so i can sort it if someone can map them for me. i am getting it rolling road remapped soon anyway but we are going to spain and cant do it till i get back so im in a bit of a predicument my fix has made more problems for me but this has ment im spending some money on the old beast and will be coming to french car show next year

other problem is A.B.S fault car keeps comming up as abs not communicating with ecu but all fuses are fine and abs seems to work when its not needed as it thinks its skidding when it isnt and starts pussing against your foot and then you cant brake propperly has anyone had this issue before. i thought it mite be the abs module on the abs pump its self but not sure

thanks danny
