Well ... it should be the same as the 406 and they generally are but mine says its averaging about 53mpg but when I brim the tank I find its actually doing less for reasons I can't explain. The car is about the same weight so all things being equal expect the same consumption. The 406 is capable of 60mpg + driven gently, the C5 is showing the same but not doing it. I'm sure mine is a one off though.

Strange :? I shall keep an eye on it... Any idea how big the tank is? I've got a good 3/4 of a tank to drain from the 406 before going to the pumps.

Its not as big as the 406 tank, it usually only takes about £70-80 worth the 406 takes over £100. I will be interested to know what mpg you get.

I've just put the whole car on there at scrap value mate, If i was guaranteed £70 for the seats though i could cut my losses and scrap it Tuesday... £154 for scrap plus the seats and alloys means I've had a car for 3 years at around £400 loss.... I've saved that in fuel alone compared to the freeloader I was going to buy.

Well I've got 30ltrs out of the 406 and gradually poured it into the C5 but the C5 don't like it it' fills right up and it's not until i drive it a few yards that it gives out a burp and swallows it down... Wtf is that about?

Still over half a tank in the 406 I'll leave some in it just in case it sells though.

Those are the wheels I had on my old 406 saloon!

The official Peugeot name for them is "Apollo", part number 11064-04. Smart, simple-looking wheels, and a good replacement for 406-owners who just have steel wheels fitted. They'll fit just fine without spacers (they did on mine), but could probably benefit from them visually.

No spacers on mine but on full lock they do rub ever so slightly... They'd look better with spacers I think.

Are there any good C5 forums out there? I'm after a small glove box that sits just under the steering wheel ad am wondering if I can find someone breaking one... Also wouldn't mind a set of roof bars but I don't even know what they look like.

Quite happy with it so far I have no idea until i top up tomorrow at the mpg because I've only brimmed it once and I done about 80 miles towing this weekend so won't get good figures.....It tows lovely though and dare I say it Better than the 406
