To me the definition of 'unroadworthy' would be that something very obvious is hanging off the car and about to part company, you have comedy bulging tyres, billowing smoke/steam and that sort of thing, NOT that there's a slight play in a bush somewhere. So in effect a car presented for an MOT and failing as 'unroadworthy' shouldn't have been able to make it there in the first place and definitely shouldn't be driven away again.

So this overlap in MOT'ing early is entirely valid, pass or not.

It still has to be roadworthy. How they apply and enforce that (shrug)

May be they just 'kick one of the wheel's and if it don't fall to bits alls good.

Not sure 'how they wouid check these old cars tbh..

I think its madness that old cars don't need an MOT, how long will it be before some mad old giffer causes an accident because the brake hose on his MG Spridget burst :roll:
