What silicone for door polythene sheets?

Post by fattail95 »

Hi guys,

My rear passenger door is leaking water into the cabin which is down to a ripped to sh*t polythene moulding. I've got a new sheet, and would like to adhere it to the metal. I read somewhere that I need to use some sort of silicone bonding agent, like the stuff you get in those tubes. What do I need to ask for at a local DIY store?

Thanks

Ben

Fixed a leak on mine the other day, only thing I had to hand was B&Q kitchen and bathroom silicon. Had some pretty miserable weather since and no leaks.

As I was in a rush to get rid of the swimming pool in the rear foot well I forgot to swap the sticky check strap for the spare but hopefully bathroom silicon will peel off the paint when the time comes.
