XUD11 head rebuild - 250bhp target!

Post by Piggy1987 »

Hi all...

Can't start a project thread, but thought some may be interested in the XUD11 engine I have been running in my 306 for the last 12months or so.

It made 206bhp at the wheels on the dyno recently...and 351ft lbs...but due to the immense cylinder pressures I need ARP headbolts.

Anyway...youtube...playlist...XUD11 head rebuild...may of be of interest to some :cheesy:

Very nice, a blast from the past really, although it was all cast iron when I was doing it...

I never did get on with those lever spring compressors, it always seemed to slide about as I was trying to lock it, as well as flex worryingly if the collets were tight :frown:

Will there be more? :supafrisk:

Good stuff :cheesy: I've been following on 306oc..... did you get your boost control figured out in the end?

I've also noticed that Bosch injectors from a xud9 have shorter nozzles, did you convert to Bosch from and xud9 or xud11?

There is more to come! :)

Video is being edited now of todays work!

Xud9 bosch injectors fit perfect.

Electrical issues are better, currently using a second battery as I need to add some capacitors.

But its awesome when it works, new tyres required for more grip asap! 351ft lbs at the wheels is a lot to hold on to!

He works so quickly too :cheesy:

Very impressive and hats off to you for spending your time and money on this project, it will see you well in the future (rather than what most lads your age do in their spare time  ).
