The Wife's New Car

Post by DaiRees »

....ran out of petrol about 30 seconds after we picked it up

Pulled out of the garage and about 100yds from the gate she spluttered to a stop  .

Still I went back in "to borrow a petrol can", and they came out in their van and put 10 litres in it, then gave me £20 "for the grief", so we ended up doing rather well out of it! :cheesy:

Nice car though 8)

Yup that's the one! I've had 406s since 2000 & we've been a 2 pug family since she bought her 206 in November '01. I ain't changing mine for a long time yet, so she's allowed to sample the dark side  8)

Fords don't have enough leg room for me... Which makes hiring a car somewhat troublesome :/

I like the new Focus alot.

Is it the 115BHP VVT or the 110 16V?

The Focus has got lots of cool features like an air cionditioned glove box, follow me home lights, loads of stuff. In fact more extras than a 406 exec
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery

Hm, what's a 'new' Ford? I had a 55 reg Focus estate at my old job. Only a 1.6L engine so it really didn't feel anything special. And the stereo was cr*p. Or is there a newer one out?

My mate ordered a Focus 1.6 Zetec, the following day the dealer rang him to say their is a long waiting list and would he like a 1.8 Zetec insted at no extra cost. He said yes and his silver focus arrives next week. Im looking forward for a spin in it.

I would also like to take a ST for a spin, i bet they can move.

the Focus ST is a Volvo T5 in disguise, the engine and gearbox is also the same
also you'll find that 115bhp 1.6 VVT engine came courtesy of Volvo from the new S40
