Welp, I was about to post "I've taken my 407 in for MOT" but less than an hour later I received the call saying it's passed
Some advisories were brake discs (previous pads were worn so much that they resulted in disc pitting) and apparently front tyres need replacing in a few months as they are close to the limit.
My garage charges £54.85 for their MOTs but I trust them far than I would a £30 KwitFit monkey who would no doubt fail my car for the said tyres/pitted discs...
Interestingly, my emissions were 0.00 out of 1.5 allowed
I take mine to KwikFit. Always been spot on with me to be honest.
I always watch them like a hawk. I take my car in once a year for a full service, brake fluid change, aircon recharge and an MOT.
Sometimes it's nice to have someone else have a good look over your car.
The always use Mann Filters and Comma oil too!
Last MOT I had "Emmisons to low to read" written as an advisory.

Not sure I'd trust a mechanic who spells like that to even know how to read the emissions testing equipment...

And therein lies the problem --- your trust levels towards KwikFit are nil, hence you have to do this.
I watch anyone who works on my car like a hawk though.
