Central locking key fob suddenly stopped working

Hi, as title, My key fob has suddenly stopped operating the CL. All CL operates perfectly manually.
Have changed the battery in key, no joy.
Any ideas please?

Might need re synchronising with car, Instructions are in owners handbook, or do a search on here. If you cant find instructions I will post on here when the wife comes back with car later today.

In my handbook it says:

Press large button until light stops flashing
Release the button and light should be on continuously
Press the button twice near the vehicle
Switch the ignition on for at least 3 seconds
Switch ignition off
The remote control is now operational


Mine is a 2000 hdi estate

I believe there are other variations of keys/programming but I am sure the very knowledgeable people on here will help you out if you still have problems

ive had a few issues in the past mines a 2001 (Y) hdi.

with mine turn key to pos 2 ,
then press the large fob button twice if setting up 1 key within 6seconds of turning ign to pos 2,
turn ignion off,
wait 5 seconds you should now be able to use the pip fob again.

Might work for you?
