Well, I haven't updated this for a bit so.....
The clutch has just started to slip under heavy load ( chasing the V6 coupes..

) so over the last month or two I have bought a new clutch ( new old stock £60, thanks to Nutski for his link ) and a DMF which was £245 from Carparts for less.
I have also recently purchased a set of rear discs and pads, and an eBay pad fitting kit for the GLX, along with 2 new rear calipers, as per Mark W on the coupe clubs helpful link...
Rear discs and pads were £35, calipers were £75 and the fitting kit was a tenner.
I fitted the discs and pads, adjusted the handbrake ready for the MOT which is due this week. The calipers were fitted earlier today by the Sven the Pug hating mechanic ( he likes them really ) for £20, bargain.
MOT tomorrow, maybe get the clutch/DMF done later during the week, then....
Flash the ECU for the new IQ93 remap that is ready and waiting...
I wouldn't normally spend such a large amount of money on an old banger, but the car is a good one - and as I walk to work now I save £80 per month on fuel which can go towards the overdue maintenance..
I hope the car will be good now for a good few years.
