1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
I had same problem 1 month ago when i washed my engine. Car engine wasnt stopping after i turn off ign and remove keys . Instead shutting down, the engine continues to work with a bigger rattle noise and im forced to use 5th gear and brakes to shut down. Luckily it got solved then after leaving my car on parking for 2-3 days but now i have the same problem and i didnt washed the engine. I just changed oil , filter and thermostat and got the same problem after i done this. I have to remove my battery everytime i want to shut down and go home because it keeps the valve open all the time (electricity keeps the valve open so the engine is not shutting down) and its emptying the battery . Went to the local auto mechanists but noone knows what the problem is. I doubt in a fluid retention somewhere that makes electricity problems . im desperate and i need help for this coz noone in my town knows whats happening . what should i do? how to check the cable that has electricity in it even when the keys are removed? where it goes throu?

Presumably this is has an armored fuel solenoid otherwise it would be an easy job, moisture ingress could be causing the problem as it would seem that you have a conductive path where there shouldn't be one. If you can find someone with a Lexia code reader it might help, if they work with the XUD engine.

Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
Take a look at this image:

This is the power supply for the bosch pump inside solenoid that stops the engine . The problem is that this 4 pin coord still has electricity in it after ignition off and that keeps the valve open. I can hear the click sound when i disconnect/connect this coord .(open/close valve) . The problem is that this cord isn't stopping the voltage after ignition off and still gives power to the bosch valve and keeps it open.

Does the engine stop if you pull the plug out?
Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
yes it stops. Look at this photo below. Its the same cord that has power on 1 of the 4 pins (im checking with voltmeter in the photo) when the ignition is off. Other 3 have no power . At ignition key off power should stop reaching this cord.

Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
It quite likely goes via the immobilizer, or is it in the module on the pump? If so there should be a permanent 12v supply to power the chip. Do you have a circuit diagram?
Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
this cord goes to the pump module and i have no circuit diagram . Immobiliser is disabled on my peugeot and there should not be a permanent 12 v voltage in the coord i think because the voltage has to stop so the valve inside the pump close and stop engine because removing this cord closes the valve. This coord comes from a plastic pipe underneath the oil filter (probably a pipe that is used to cover wires only)

Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
The fuel valve in the pump only requires one switched 12 volt connection, the other wires are for the immobiliser, I don't think there is any direct connection to the solenoid, this is switched by the module which is possibly faulty. The easiest thing to do would be connect the connection with the 12v on it directly to the ignition circuit so that it goes of when you switch the ignition off.

Can u tell me how to find tshe ign circuit and soldier it directly? And where is that faulty module stored (i think it has moisture in it) so i can heat it or im least case replace it ? how does it look like?
Happy new year btw and thanks for helping me out

The module is on the pump but is probably armored so you will have to remove the pump to get at it. To find an ignition switched circuit, take the cover off the under bonnet fuse box and check the supplies with a meter to find one that is only present with the ignition switched on.

Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
i washed the engine with diesel now and ill let it dry and if it still doesnt get fixed(i suspect in a water moisutre in cables) . if it doesnt get fixed ill rework the electrics

Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
lol. the car fixed itself today. It startet to shut down first at 3-4 seconds after i remove key and now its completly fixed lol. Its a moisutre that is vaporizing away slowly and its a pain in the ass to find it .

Good news!
I hope it stays 'fixed'.

Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
Sounds like it was damp then.
Re: 1.9 TD fail to stop after ignition off
Ye, it is fixed but idk where the damp can be located lol.
