heater fan randomly stops working til i wriggle wires...

my heater fan stops working sometimes and i cant figure out why it does but when it does if i put hand under glove box and bang and wriggle stuff it eventually comes on, anyone know what could be wrong? also one of the wires under there is a bit burnt and melted. you can see where its burnt onto the under mat.

Ah thanks, though it doesn't say what the problem is on that thread, im not sure if its wriggling the burnt cable that makes it come back on or not though?

It's quite a high current on those wires, if the connection is even the tiniest bit iffy it'll get hot, and the fan going off and on while you're wiggling wires is the definition of a dodgy connection.

Cut the plug out and solder the wires. (Just hope it does not do what mine did after)
