car ideas?

been looking at 10 plate ford focus 1.8 tdci.

are they anygood?
my dad as had a few but they've been petrol.

is the diesel lumps in these anygood?

Sam's your man.

It seems the 1.8 is a better, stronger engine than the 2.0 lump.
2003 2.2hdi estate - mine
1998 Volvo 940 auto estate - also mine
2019 Citroen C3 something - the wife's
PP2000 user, can help with faults / diagnostics in the Bournemouth area.

ive had alook on google.
they don't seem to bad for going wrong.

After reading your posts Lozz, I'm convinced you should trade it in too....

Agreed. its been a nightmare of a car.
Strangely..its been behaving itself..it must know its go'ing
but saying that its had over a grand spent on it.

The 406 has been the most reliable modern-ish car I have had. The Ford diesel uses a similar engine but its not the same and not as good. PSA without doubt make the best diesels especially the early Hdi 8 valve.

cheers..i'think im going to do abit more research now,before buying one,
irushed in last time,when ibought the 207 at book price..(her indoor's wanted it) and it resulted in throwing loads of ££s at it after..to make it right,
Modern car's aint cheap for part's.

Does the focusses equipped with the dv6 engine give as much trouble as the pugs with the same engine.

An old mk4 golf 1.9 TDI is hard to beat if your just looking something reliable to get from A to B

idrive him and my grandad around.(im more or less there full time carer so they will get the benefit out of it.
going to keep the 207 on for my own use.
