Clutch, dont do it.. FAO Blue406

Post by jameslxdt »

well i got round to changing my clutch today, and what an arse it was, i started at 8am and finished at 7:30pm only stopping for an hour for lunch and dinner, it was an absolute bitch of a job to get the gearbox back in, it took me, a friend and my dad about 2 hours to line the fork and release bearing and force the box in
Blue406, im going to make you a guide on how to do the clutch, but to be honest i really struggled, its not an easy clutch to do on axle stands, unless you can get it quite high, i should have it ready for tommorow, but there wont be many pictures as the camera died on me half way through

the worst part was as i said, refitting the gearbox, if anyone has done one of those clutches before they'll know what its like, but it was well worth it as my clutch is sooooo light now :cheesy: not like a 406 at all
though its rather anoying as i cant stop stalling

Sod that!

My clutch is behaving itself right now. I think it make all be down to oil contamination from my leaking sump.
So, I have decided to just do the sump and see if the clutch slip clears away.
