Hey all,
Just scored a 1997 Coupe V6 in *very* nice shape. Quite pleased with it so far!
However the electric mirrors are giving me issues. The rotary switch seems to be defunct; no matter what position its in all it will do is fold & unfold the driver's mirror. Nothing I do with it can get it to actually change the aim.
The mirror memory seems to work fine but in this case just screws up however I've set them by hand every time I put the key in the ignition & aims them in a completely unusable angle. Infuriating!
Right now I have to re-do the position of both mirrors by hand every single time I start the car (or even just change the ignition from 'accessory' to 'on'.
Any suggestions as to how to sort this out?
Honestly I'd be happy to just yank a fuse and not have electric mirrors but I can't figure out how to do that. I tried pulling F10 as indicated here but that didn't disable the mirror memory at all. I also want to keep the *seat* memory if I can which is apparently on the same control circuit.
Thanks,
Jay

Edit: after a helpful tip on the Coupe club board, I realized I didn't actually have the position memory programmed properly (doh!) - seems to be working now. I'll post back if it gets corrupted again or gives me more issues!

You are the first person I've ever known to admit to an RTFM fault.
