I R JELUS

(I think)

:o

I had snow last night and measured the thickness with a micrometer this morning, it was 2.35mm deep. Left the car at home didn't want to risk being killed.

I R NAKKERD :(

I just cleared from the boiler house, along the terrace (knocking the snow overhangs off the solar panels with a pole) to the front door, in front of t'wife's bedroom, down the steps and along the path to the gate and from the gate to the yoyo. I wrapped up warm so I'm now a sweaty mess but I had to as it's gusting out there, horizontal snow that can find the tiniest chink in your armour and send icy chills to your nether regions.

Of course, the wind's blown most of it back again :( :(

Dog n. unintelligent mammal with small feet for compacting snow into ice and fur for collecting loose snow to bring indoors, shake off and spray everything. Gits.

The snow plough's been - yay! It compacted a ridge of snow 1 meter high and 2 meters wide in front of the yoyo so I've just killed myself clearing it - boo.

I also cleared around the yoyo, on the leeward side it was almost nothing but in the windward side I had to clear it so I could open the doors - arse.

The snow on the terrace is now officially much higher than it was before I cleared it - feck.

Are you guys sure you want this sh!t?

Maybe a bit like my sis-in-law's cocker Dori, he used to come in with great big snowballs hanging off him and feet twice the size they should be. I have pictures somewhere...

The retards don't care, they're out there charging about like a small squadron of tanks flattening the snow and shovelling great heaps of it across the paths. Scooter's not so keen as most of it's above his head, so he keeps rushing out and then scratching to come back in with a sad look on his face. At least he has short fur.

Steve, you can't move to Croatia and then moan about the snow.

Croatia is near enough in the Mediterranean while GB is on the same latitude as Siberia, where would you expect it to snow?

You're not missing anything.

And the roads were indeed crap. They've been putting salt down but it's been raining for a while and I guess it all got washed away. The high road is fairly clear, the roads near here have been cleared but there are big sheets of ice everywhere, it's like continuously driving over potholes (like some roads in GB I know). Most of the pavements near the school are clear but the dumbass kids are still walking in the road and when I stopped to pick t'wife up I couldn't get anywhere near the kerb and she had to wade out.

I had to stop both ways for trains coming from the direction of the mountains, well I think there were trains under all the ice that trundled past...

Just heard from a mate here, the road outside his house is 2 feet deep in snow, seems they didn't plough his road because the plough had a little accident and ended up in a ditch. Nice.

Just like Sam - haven't seen any snow (or a Flake) this year still. I am sat in a Cheddar Valley so it probably all melts before it gets down 'ere.

Last night

Image

I went to see my mate, the snowplough had finally been

The difference between snow and no snow is about 4 inches, there are buses that go up and down there, they've left deep tracks that the yoyo kept sliding in to no matter how much fighting I did. "Go faster, this is 4x4" he kept saying "yeah, but it's a 4x4 for hairdressers."

His house is here, somewhere
Image

At least he gets on with his neighbours

Our neighbours don't really want to know us unless they need something...
