Il have to go down to Ford today and see what they have in stock. Can't be waiting 6 weeks for a car. I need a car urgently now and afraid I'm going to end up with something I don't like.
I do like the thought of a new car I must admit.

Don't know about you but I don't think I could stomach the depreciation on a brand new, even if the money's coming from your pa you'll be paying it back thinking how the car's probably not worth as much as that any more. I think I prefer the idea of finding something to thrash about until the bimmer becomes available, otherwise you'll be thinking about how it was meant to be yours as someone else gets it.

Spent a day car shopping.
I'm ordering a brand new Focus in the monring.
There is one that's just rolled out the factory so with a bit of luck it should still be available tomorrow.

Don't buy that, honest, they're sh*t. The non-turbo 5-pot is a waste of oxygen.

Hmmm, I've done this before at your kinda age. Deeply regretted it once the car was filthy and looked like everyone else's though. Gave it back after 3 months and lost £700.00. If you want 'new' I'd buy something 12 months old where someone else has taken the financial hit. Only saying like but it's almost a knee-jerk purchase, might not be best for you if you do fancy Dad's BM next year.

Doesn't make much sense about the mondy flywheel, if it wasn't fitted 'flat' or true/square then it would've been juddery etc. surely? I hate to say this but are you sure your mechanic didn't run into difficulties with the job?.......

Turns out it wasn't on it's original clutch and flywheel. There was a Sachs fly and clutch plate in there.
Whoever fitted it didn't have the flywheel sat square on the crank and forced the bolts in at an angle.
I don't think for a second the mechanic run into difficulties as the new flywheel was still sealed in it's box.

I practically gave the car away today. So the Mondeo has gone and I'm utterly gutted. But on to better things!

Biggest issue is the colour versus the waiting time.

If I have it in Volvo beige I can have it Monday.
If I want Black I can have it Friday.
If I want it in Blue I can have it a week Wednesday.
Or If I want it in Red I have to wait 2 weeks.

I did mention that to my Missus but I think that beige is probably the only colour that could be worse than having a brown Mondeo.
