hello

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

I think the coilpack is actually Valeo, you'll probably see their part number for it on there (amongst a load of other numbers).

Pug's own parts catalogue is Service Box, I'm getting the part number off of there but I don't really need your vin as there can be only one.

Depends who makes the parts, body parts, main engine parts etc. will be made by Pug (PSA) and might have Pug part numbers on them if anything at all. Anything else they buy in from other manufacturers, electronics, ecus, even tyres, will probably have the original manufacturer's part numbers on them, Pug will allocate them part numbers to fit with their system but they won't appear anywhere on the car.

Umm, your coilpack, there is only one listed for your engine (and maybe a few others) so that number (597098) is correct for your car in Pug's parts catalogue, it's just it'll have Valeo's part numbers on it and I don't know if there is a reliable way for looking it up. Best bet is to pull it and look for the number.
