Have you checked the 2nd speed relay behind the grill, next to the radiator?

I had the fan option in PP2000 set as 2 or 3 speed fan (because I thought it WAS a 2 speed fan). Anyway should have set it as 'controlled by chopper'.
Working properly straight away now. Off when engine started whether aircon on or not. Pulled the temp sensor plug and on it comes.
Another job crossed off the list.
