part I'd help needed

Post by gumby6371 »

I changed a broken front spring on the 307 today, on the test drive there was an odd noise like something dragging under the car.
Pulled over and found this hanging down and dragging on the road.

I tried the part number in service box but nothing came up

Any ideas?

Could be a good call that Ollie, I did have to take all the trim off to access the top but.
Needs to come off again anyway as the top mount looked decidedly the worse for wear.
Guess what I'll be doing today!

Looks like a Wooden Table, probably Pine, and glued with biscuit jointing to the planks.

I hope this helps*

Could be blockboard - the fit between those 'planks' is a bit too good to be true. :?

Thanks gents, most helpful as always :cheesy:
I put the odd bit of plastic back on the bottom of the windscreen when I did both top mounts, springs and drop links on the 307 earlier.

[emoji106] I've super glued many of those tracks to the glass when I was fitting windscreens. It makes it alot easier to clip the scuttle panel down, some soapy water also helps.
