Try giving them money instead of plants.
Holey typos Batman! I thought I'd changed it before anyone noticed but apparently not :(

Some pics. I'll try to get some better ones later but I've only just got the grey & white one to trust me enough not to run and hide when he sees me, the grey one may as well be a ghost still though.

I actually managed to catch both of them this morning but when I got them into the box I said to twife that I'd feel miserable for weeks and she said, well, I think you can guess.

I had to go back to the vet's this morning anyway with Teatime so I took the grey & white one with me to get gim wormed as he's a deal smaller than the grey and I can feel his ribs. Yes, his.

Also, Teatime's eye is shrinking. Yesterday Mirela was concerned that he still wasn't eating enough, coupled with his mistrust of us she thought maybe he is in some pain and decided to give him a painkiller shot. Result: different cat, eating loads, friendly, even playful. So this morning when I found him I expected him to be grumpy again but not a bit of it, still friendly, still playful. Hmm... He was back to not eating very much though, so he got another shot and I have some pills to give him. Back Tuesday, hopefully I'll be able to take the grey kitten with me.

There are only a handfull of cameras, highways are free of cameras ,few of them installed on patrol cars but thats rare.
Umm, they've started putting up fixed cameras around here, there was one in Pavučnjak but it disappeared in the night (main theory is tractor). I also saw one coming back from Karlovac Tuesday, in Čeglje I think, hidden behind a tree. Ok, people drive too fast here but I think one of the main reasons is the speed limits are preposterous, 50kmh because there's a house over there somewhere and 40kmh here and there for no good reason. I just hope the Croats keep destroying the cameras or they'll be everywhere.
Correct me if i am wrong, but looking at neighboring states like Italy or Slovenia, there you would pay massive sums for even 10kmh above legal speed.
The cops here just didn't realise yet.
Even thought i generally dont agree with police actions on road,i think these thing with helmet is ok,we had quite a few thieves pulling the thing with helmest on gas stations.
The next time I was in the same gas station I asked the women on the till if they knew what it was about. They had no idea.
Who knows what you pale Brits think when strong mediterran sun hits you,if you wear giant white socks with sandals at the beach, one could easily think robbing a gas station is nothing for you :P :P
You do realise it's Australians that wear big socks with sandals don't you? They get sun too...

Steve,you need this thing,it works.

Do I wear it on my head?
Some frogs moved near my house at some hole with water and i can say they are the best mosquito destroyers.

Yes,that is really dumb thing with eastern part of croatia, called Slavonia, where villages are long stretched along the road but most of the villages are now abandoned but speed is still at 50kmh.
Imagine traveling 150km on that road, you simply cannot drive that slow,it would took ages.

Well, they put some fixed cameras at city of Rijeka but they removed it later, reasons still unknown.

yea, australians but brits too. Seen it :cheesy:

That Raid thingy is really good, just set it on fire and let it smoke on the ground.

Considering my grandmas house...its awfull.
But once people realised you love cats, they will just keep on dumping you new cats, thats what happens to my grandma.

Welcome to Croatia, country, where logic doesnt exist.

Dehydrating via my nose, @#$! plague carrying work experience kid.....
I've also finally got round to doing some more work on the jimny today modded the rear lights and harnesses to accept the stop/tail and indicators. Fabricated one of the new rear suspension mounts and welded it on and started turning my raw ingredients for the rear bumper into something that should look like this

and last week, I've mostly been......witnessing my poor FIL in the throws of dying.

His Brain Tumour has become too large, too quickly and they can't even try Radio or Chemo for fear of killing him so he's off all meds and being made comfy for his final days.

He's a smashing bloke and will be missed, it's such a shame to see him go downhill so quickly, his Wife's in bits, my Wife's in bits, was a very difficult week with more to come.

That Cancer can FRO :frown:

And to top it all in my haste to get to the Hospital I got caught speeding on the A43 in Collyweston Village; long straight to the crest of a hill and *snap* the Camera Van picked me off as I came into view............and wait for it...........35MPH in a 30MPH well f*ck me I deserve to be hauled through the streets and thrashed for doing 35MPH on a straight road with no buildings to either side of me.

Very sorry about your pa-in-law Welters.

Nothing in the world can prepare you for such things. I think the only helpful advice I can give you is to remember to look after yourselves, no matter how bad you feel.

Sorry to hear about your FIL, been through it too - mine died on Xmas Eve 1991. (Took about 15 years for it not to ruin every Xmas for my wife).
The only consolation you have, (if you can call it that), is that attempting to treat it might well not have worked and robbed him of any quality of life in what little time he has left. I feel for you and your family.

I take it you got nabbed on the edge of Collyweston going towards Stamford? Sneaky burgers - there but for good luck go I.

Thank you, and thanks to any other contributors.

Yes is was that bit in Colly, lucky really as the long drag up to the Village is very wide and straight and I definitely wasn't speeding profusely; thanks to 'Man in X-Type' for flashing me on the approach.

Sorry to hear that Welly, I've just had the very same thing with my grandfather, whom I was very close to (he only lived 3 doors away, we were always up to no good together :supafrisk: ) - he's been ill with various things for a long time, but they diagnosed him with cancer a couple of weeks ago, as soon as they told him he pretty much gave up, he was lucid for perhaps the next two days and then mentally he was gone, he passed away about 6-7 days after the diagnosis.
It's a hell of a shock, I still keep walking past the house and with the car being gone catch myself thinking 'oh, he's nipped out somewhere'

On to slightly less depressing things, finished off the custom front brake bells today and fitted them to the billet hubs, there is something strangely alluring about shiny billet ally bits

I'm ever so sorry about your grandfather, unfortunately his house will probably be doing that to you for quite a while.

I've no idea what they are, billet, bells, what?

Ok, old yoyo passed it's MOT* and is now registered (emissions all in the clear too). Now all I need to do is sell it, but that'll have to wait for twife to come back from her hols.

Interestingly, I got some free gifts from the insurance company - two pens, an air freshener and (I kid you not) a beer bottle opener key ring. All emblazoned with the company logo. I was thinking maybe with the registration I'd get a crate of beer to go with it but no, just the usual collection of bills and waffle.

Sorry too to hear that Phillip you must have shared a keen interest in things with your Grandfather which is brilliant as the older generation have so much knowledge to pass on (if only most younger people appreciated that).

Nice work on the hub assemblies

Wiggy - a beer opener with your insurance docs? :o

It's a beer bottle opener key ring, so it's with your car keys ready to open beer bottles. I dunno, it seems like they're encouraging people to drink & drive, it would be like a cancer clinic handing out free fag lighters. Or maybe Weight Watchers giving away deep fat fryers as prizes. The Samaritans giving away knives? I dunno, maybe I'm being too cynical, it's not like beer is the only thing that comes in bottles with pressed-on lids...

Edit: I just remembered, this is the same company that does our house insurance, I wonder what we'll be getting with that next time, maybe candles?
