Re: Replacing the C1 next year?
Cheers Trem but I need something with MOT to be able to get it home. Also Becca does 6 miles a day. Not sure if a diesel would last very long.
Issue she's having at the moment is she's paying £350 to insure her little C1 (6 month old, £11,000 list price). A 1998 BMW 320i is £600.

Hold on, do you mean the krautmobile is 600 quid to insure or 600 quid to buy? Usually the only thing more expensive to insure than a French car is another French car

£600 to insure. So more than the car is worth.
I say that like it's expensive. I pay £886 a year on my Focus.

Well, I'm not surprised, you young tearaways rah rah rah etc.
I pay half that on the yoyo, but that's 3rd party only. To get anything like the cover of fully comp I'd be paying well over a grand, and I have full no claims. The Pug would cost just as much an' all.

I like C1's
Here's some of my favourites....
Lancia LC2 - Awesome sound track, courtesy of twin-turbo 3.0 Ferarri V8

Sauber Mercedes C9 - most grunt - 5.0 twin-turbo Merc V8 up to 1000 bhp.

Not forgetting the wonderful, home-grown Jaguar XJR9LM 7.0 n/a V12 music with serious volume!

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: Replacing the C1 next year?
My Missus has been mentioning getting something that can burn veg oil.
I used to have a Peugeot 406 1.9TD I used to run on a mix of SVO/WVO.
I can get WVO for free from my Uncle who runs a chippy. Would need to sort out a small filtration plant though. I would only need 10-15L a week.

That'll be an XUD then, what about a nice old 205 STDT they had lots of character.
Old Merc might be quite quirky an unusual for a young lady to pilot.

205s have the same level crash safety as a wheelbarrow. Avoid.
A nice W124 Merc would be grouse.

A 2.1 td XM would be nice - if you can find one.
