As title - I'm trying to track down a leak on my daughter's 807 2.2 HDi.
The 4HW engine in this looks the same as a 406's 4HX, but access is much more restricted. It had a leaky fuel filter housing, which I replaced last weekend and I'm 99% sure is now leak free, but there's a fresh looking diesel spill on the engine block in the area between the fuel filter and the back of the HP pump. Far as I can see, the pipework all looks dry as does the outside of the fuel filter.
Has anybody had a leaky HP pump and if so, was if it fixable without having the cam belt off?
HDi fuel leak from hp pump - anybody had this?

"Electro valve" apparently. ISTR something about the seals but I can't find it on a search (because I'm using the wrong terms as per
)

Not really had any issues with fuel leaks ( yet..
) but the only things in the area that can leak are the seal around the pressure regulator, or the fuel lines on the fuel rail??

Well, it doesn't look like it's the pump after all.
Cleaned and dried everything in the area between the filter and HP pump, started it up and there's still fuel dribbling off the sump, but I can't for the life of me see where it's coming from. I'm thinking maybe it's a leak-off pipe.
On a 406 you could see it in seconds as pretty much everything is in plain sight once you take the acoustic cover off.
The 807's lump is buried under the bodywork, pretty much anything astern of the air dosers is completely invisible.

Nice idea lozz, but I don't think you'd fit anything that BIG in there.
(If I do find a gap I may plug it using a putty-like substance with a detonator poking out of it).
