Dear forum members,
My 2001 406 V6, ES9J4S has this error. It is normally intermittent but after a few weeks it becomes permanent. When I erase it it will become permanent again after some time. The car drives normally. What could be the source of this error? I dont believe that both precats would fail at the same time, and I have error on both.
Could it be related to the coils or injectors? (no fault codes on these though....)
I believe the precat error occurs often in relation to driving fast on the high way, however I am not sure about this.
The car has 370k km on the clock.
