Hello everyone this is my first post,
I used to own a 51plate 3.0v6 coupe but now being a family man, own a 406 estate! Missing the power and braking capacity thou!!
Does anyone know where I can get a pair of rear disc brake backplates from? Cheapest so far is Peugeot at £90 odd ponds each.
I have been trying to buy used ones but have had no luck so far!!
Cheers

Re: Rear disc brake backplates
Hi Steve - I'm afraid these are the proverbial 'Hen's teeth' so you may need to repair/rebuild the plates you have.
If your handbrake pins keep pulling through - a nut and countersunk bolt will do the trick, if the plates are starting to split - filler and good preserver paint ( zinc etc ) will have to do until a good set come up.....
These are the correct ones for rear disc/drum combo; the part numbers are 4211 81, and 4212 81

Theses are for rear drums only;

Keep looking - you are not the first to enquire, nor will you be the last...
