Going to have to bite the bullet ...

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Going to have to bite the bullet ...

Post by PeterN »

I can't get hold of my old Lexia so am going to have to get a new one, any suggestions of the best/cheapest?

I have been looking on ebay and have ruled out buying one from China although I expect most of the European ones are Chinese. I don't need Diabox as my cars are all to old.

There is a secondhand one which says 'made in France' on it, do you think that would also be of Chinese origin or could it be genuine?

Thanks

Peter

I wouldn't believe it, even if it's stamped into the plastic - you can get anything made up as a sticker.

They do actually exist, they are called 'Actia' seem to be quite a large concern, but of course they could have been bought in.

The nearest one to me was near Exeter and he is an I.T.man, I left the lexia and computer with him but he said that the laptop was the problem, I did say I would take another one down but that was at least a couple of years ago and he has moved since then, I have never needed it until now so lost touch with him.

I suppose the best I can do is get one from someone in this country and hope it doesn't go wrong - and I can programme it. :frown:

Surely someone on here can lend you/help you?

I can change the thread title if you want to draw more attention?

I have had a good look at what's available and come to the conclusion by enlarging the pictures that they are all the same, including those that purport to be made in France, so I shall go for one as locally as possible and hope I don't have any problems., but thanks for the offer anyway.
