Hi looking for some advice please i have a 52 reg 110 hdi estate and need a new exhaust centre section but have been asked if its 79 or 80 kw and i have no idea , how do i find out please or would the exhausts be interchangeable

As far as I'm aware, the DW10 ATED engine is 79 KW, and is the only variant of the HDi 110 found in the 406 range.

If you know your car's VIN, you could look it up on the ServiceBox website (you'll need to register for a free account if you haven't already got one); the site will tell you the actual PSA part number for your exhaust centre section, which might help.

Or put your registration number into EuroCarParts and look in the "Home" > "Car Parts" > "Body & Exhaust" > "Exhausts" > "Exhaust Parts" section.

Tell them it's 81.9kW

AFAIK (without being able to look it up

) there is a slight change in the exhaust centre section around 2002, a bracket was moved from one side of the exhaust to the other and this garage might be under the mistaken belief that this is how you tell which is which.
