Re: Fuses identification
Hi there, welcome
That looks like this one - http://www.peugeotlogic.com/fuses/fuses406/fuses3.htm looks ok from most of the fise values (are you sure your fag lighter needs a 30 amp fuse?). If that is the right fuse panel then your car is one of the last of the D8s.
Umm, oddly enough early D9 fuse boxes were fitted upside-down.
The control box is over the glovebox, which one you'll have depends on if you have a keypad and/or deadlocks.

Re: Fuses identification
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. That is the chart for my fuse board checked some of the fuses and they matched. For some reason the fuses that say they are connected to the central locking when removed don't turn it off.Do I get to the control box through the glove compartment or in from the top?I was going to try and bypass the sensor on the control box which keeps opening the central locking due to I think dodgy wiring on the drivers door.I saw this done on another thread would you know anything about this?

Re: Fuses identification
Sorry for the delay. Umm, which thread? I've no experience myself but maybe someone on here has (I think Doggy did but on a D9, which I don't think will be too dissimilar)
I suspect if you pull the ecu you'll have no central locking at all. I have no real diagrams for a D8 I'm afraid, none of them are particularly accurate anyway.
I'm not even sure if the ecu does the locking or if there's a further unit that does that!

Re: Fuses identification
At different times I changed both the front door lock units on my bro's 53-plate D9.
They only have a single connector for the lock motor and the two position switches, if you disconnect either, (any)? lock unit, it will detect it has failed to lock all the doors when you try locking it and unlock everything.
If your car is the same as a D9.......
Your problem might be a faulty front door lock - if you can get one from a scrappy, unplug the connector from your drivers door lock, (without removing it) and plug it onto the 'spare'. If everything now works correctly from the r/c, (apart obviously from the driver's door), that's your culprit.
If not, put everything back and try the same thing on the passenger door.

Re: Fuses identification
I forgot to say, you get to the ecu by removing the glovebox.
That's a point, is it unlocking after a while or straight away? If it's straight away then it'll be a switch in one of the door locks not telling the ecu the door is shut.

The locks all close and then all open immediately.

Re: Fuses identification
That'll be a door lock switch (or it could be a broken wire, I've no idea if the switch is normally closed - grounded, or normally open)
What's the deal with the wiring in the driver's door?

Re: Fuses identification
I read that the wire loom at the hinge side of the door gets damaged.
