Its a 2002 GLX, 135,000 miles, China Blue estate car.
I now walk to work, and have purchased a different car ( VW T4 ) as a family car for days out etc. At one point my car wasn't started or driven for 5 weeks, which isn't doing the car any good so its time for someone else to enjoy owning it and driving it as much as I do ( did... )
It started out as a replacement for my 2004 Executive which I wasn't happy enough to repair anymore, and I started to upgrade it from a GLX to an executive spec using the 2004 as a donor vehicle. I'll try to list exactly how much work I have done to the car, and how many hours I have put in.
Engine.
I bought it when it was a mere 125,000 miles and had full service history - it just needed a new servo and the DPF sorting, which was done.
Work includes a service, new aux belt and tensioner and thats pretty much it, the rest of the work was modifying the vacuum system and emission system to make the car reliable, which has worked well as it has never failed on me, started first time even after 5 weeks of not being started. I've used the posh diesel every other tankful to keep the internals clean, which a diagnostic shows the injectors are really good. The car also has a remap which makes it a really enjoyable drive.
A strut brace from a 406 coupe is fitted.
Cruise control is also added, works brilliant.
Interior.
I have fitted the electric and heated tan leather seats with door cards from my donor car, and also a tan leather steering wheel from a 406 coupe. The lower dash panels were painted with a specially mixed plastic paint colour to match the door cards. The walnut trim was removed and sprayed ivory to compliment the tan leather, along with the display screen, climate control panel and CD player in the centre console. A non-smokers kit is also fitted.
Between the seats is a Connects2 adapter which allows the standard stereo to play Mp3s from and SD card or a memory stick ( up to 594 songs ) all controlled by the steering wheel stalk.
The boot now has a 7 seat conversion fitted, which is fantastic - seatbelts work fine too.
White dials were also installed and the oil temperature gauge programmed to work.
Exterior.
Pretty much standard, apart from a Welton panel on the front bumper.
Wheels are from a 406 coupe, which have a wider offset and give the car a wider and more planted stance.
Front foglights were removed, cleaned inside and refitted.
The rear towbar is a ball and pin type, very strong but only used to tow a small trailer - electrics work fine.
Electrics.
All working fine, all 4 windows, auto lights, auto wipers, dimming rear view mirror, airbags etc.
I haven't wired up the heated seats yet though - its never really bothered me.
Economy is 35-40mpg round town, up to 60mpg on a run - depending on how you drive of course

Recent new clutch and DMF, new rear calipers with discs, 4 new tyres that have only covered about 3,000 miles.
This car has passed the last few MOTs with flying colours, no advisories at all - even the bulbs were orange enough!
Bad bits.
There is a reoccurring fault with the turbo - P0235 - which I believe is down to sticking turbo vanes.
The front disks look a bit worn, passed the MOT fine but I'll include a set of brand new front discs to go with the car.
Theres probably loads of stuff I've missed out. but I could be here all night writing it all - any questions then send me a message.
This is a sad day for me, as I really like the car, I still look back at it when I park it somewhere, but its not being used enough and someone else should get some enjoyment from it.
Looking for £1200 or near offer.
