Mine may not have it then. I've got the dial type heating controls. I assume that it was accessed in the same way as the Peugeot one, by pressing the button on the end of the wiper stalk to cycle through the pages?

I have found the folder but unfortunately the 'general description' book is missing. There is a book 'Navigation and on board computer, radio' but it doesn't help much. There is a small booklet 'C5 in brief' which covers the operation of the computer but only tells you how to operate it.

My car was an SX so if yours is the same it should have a working display. I have looked in the Haynes manual but that is no help at all, just says 'according to model'

I can only suggest that you put a post on the 'French Car Forum' there are a lot of people with them on there.

Thanks Peter,
I've also got the Nav/radio book which as you say isn't much help.
I'll try the french car forum.

Thanks

To save anyone else looking, C5 handbooks on Citroen Service only go back to 2008 :(

Cheers Steve, that would be consistent with what I've been able to find online.

Hmmm
The electrical gremlins have struck the C5

And conducted a pretty horrific bodge....

Looks like a bit of a heavy current there, all you have to do is find out what it feeds. :?

Heavy mouse attack ;) I thought it was heat initially too but there is no sign of heat damage on the copper conductor. There are however plenty of mouse droppings. Unfortunately repairing the above damage has not fixed my symptoms....
Still got a fuel gauge that's gone from perfectly functional to reading empty and a temp gauge the intermittently goes from correct to fully hot to cold and back again. No water ingress in the passenger's footwear either....

Ah right, I should have thought of that especially in view of the fact we had a rat in the kitchen, it got behind the sink unit and chewed through the under cupboard light feed, which arced on to the cold water pipe and burnt a hole in it.
