Well, it needed a few bits £170.00 all in,including the MOT
1 front drop link, 2 front brake pipes = another year of the 406

Good result, less than 50p per day over the year.....

True! - Dont get me wrong, its had 4 new tyres in the year and Ive serviced it. Emmision result was most surprising - 0.17 (Down from previous year of 0.85)

Well done.

Mine failed on both front strut bearings and both rear tie rods, have done the rear waiting for the rain to stop so I can do the front. Total cost for parts about £70.

Took it in Fri morn for the MOT and it passed with just a couple of advisories: surface corrosion to rear subframe and surface corrosion to front springs and that was it,he even remarked how good the Handbrake was for a 406.

I'm not surprised - yours has to be about the tidiest 406 I've seen.

Not looking too tidy now Eric,i left it at one of those "meet and greet" holiday car park places and they managed to mess up the paintwork on the N/S front wing which they deny doing.At 150k now it's starting to look a bit jaded round the edges,it's due a cambelt change and the rad fan has seized up and at £250 ish (1253E4) it'll all have to wait till after xmas.
