
Just as well really, since mine has developed an ominous rattle which seems to come from the timing belt area.

I changed the belt kit / aux belt / idlers / tensioner / water pump just under 3 years / 50k ago with good quality stuff, so it should be alright, (and if I'd cocked it up it wouldn't have lasted this long). Only had a quick look / listen in the dark last night - it'll have to wait till the weekend.
Crank pulley maybe? Common on DW10's but I've not heard of one going on a 2.2 before. We shall see....
I was fortunate to able to borrow the GTX for a few days, it's a nice car and beats the hell out of walking.
