Excellent, excellent excellent!!!!!!!! Thank you all so much, I will try this out tomorrow on my day off and let you know how I get on ) I try to share the knowledge that I have and since we all do the same we can solve issues that Peugeot don't have a clue about. Thank you all again.
On another note, if anyone needs a main turbo oil feed pipe for their D8 1.9TD then I have a brand new one in the wrapper, it took Peugeot 9 months to get that one to me!!!!! It will remain in my garage until someone with a D8 needs it.
At last I have a working rear view auto dip mirror! I suppose you can call me lazy for installing one of these instead of the usual fitted manual version, but its amazing how used you get to something like this, especially with motorway driving where cars constantly come and go. Thank you for all your help ))
I agree with you ) I just wish my car had auto lights on like the 2002models did. Now that's got me wondering how easy would it be to sort that on out.......... any takers?
What about auto wipers, I think they work very well on mine. I was very impressed with the way they detected fog late last year and performed a 'courtesy wipe' about every minute
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
Wow, I hadn't realised that lighting stalks had become a consumable, and at £100 each it's not funny. Never the less, the concept is sound, it just sounds poorly executed. However I do know a few friends with em and they have never had a problem like you describe. I don't think its possible to easily retro fit them in any case - unless someone knows otherwise?
Auto wipers are fab, although they do get a little confused at times; like they operate when the screen is dirty but not really all that wet, so smear the muck accross the screen; or they don't wipe fast enough when it does rain so you can only just see where you are going, that is until they make their mind up and speed up - guess you can't win em all!
