Pp2000 woes

Post by Jicjoc »

Hi
I have a 03 coupe hdi remap defap. No bother til a few weeks ago when it goes into limp mode with an anti pollution filter fault if the revs go over 2300. Real pain

So I hook up my pp2000 which I used to remap and few other probs a couple years ago. Worked great then.

Now I have a diff laptop. Win10. Installed vm virtual box and then win xp sp3 I think. Pp2000 office starts fine but when I click pp2000 itself in office it fails to open giving a grey windows box saying control.nt cannot open etc...

Anyone know what this fault is?
I haven't connected it to the car yet this time. Could this be the problem?
Or any other advice?

You need to connect it to the car - and select Peugeot Planet Office, not the diagnostic option...

Let me know how you get on... 8)

The previous server was a bit unreliable, so the Moderators have secured a new server with a more reliable service - but it takes time to transfer everything across.
They are doing it in whatever time they have, as they also have full time jobs etc...

Hopefully when its up and running then it will be much better :cheesy:

Not sure about that error message, my old £30 XP laptop is still going strong - sorry...

Did you say the engine was running?

I cant get my PP2000 to connect to the car, it gets as far as selecting the car then says it cant connect. I've got two Lexia's and two sets of leads and its the same on both, using an XP laptop.

I can't read the error message in your picture (to blurry)
I recently had an issue with mine.
Win10, Intel i5 6th gen and running xp sp3 on vm ware.
The issue was to do with running 16bit software on a 32bit os being emulated by a 64bit machine. The fix was very simple in the end, download a file and replace add it to xp and configure xp to look at it. I'll find a link to the process later. Took less than 5mins to sort out.

This is the file you need https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwlHBe ... sp=sharing

Copy HIDE87.com to c:\windows\system32 directory of the Virtual machine.

Add lh c:\windows\system32\HIDE87.com as the first line to the c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt file.

reboot the VM.

This should sort it out. :D
