Hdi rear exhaust silencer
Hi all, does anyone know if the rear exhaust silencer from a v6 will fit a 2.2 hdi coupe? reason being is that I'm having trouble finding a new silencer specifically for a hdi..not sure of the pipe diameter..

Don't know if it helps but I believe that all the saloons are the same,
All the estates the same & all coupes the same

Saloon and Coupe are interchangable, but the estates are different due to the hangers being in different places.
All exhausts are the same diameter except the 1.8/2.0 petrol as they are thinner.
So yes, a V6 and a 2.2Hdi are the same back boxes if a saloon or coupe ( the tailpipe is straight for a coupe, pointing down for the saloon - otherwise identical)

Certainly plenty of them on a well known auction site.Matcoupe80 wrote:Hi all, does anyone know if the rear exhaust silencer from a v6 will fit a 2.2 hdi coupe? reason being is that I'm having trouble finding a new silencer specifically for a hdi..
When I bought my silencer and middle section from there a couple of winters ago,
I went for Bosal brand rear box. Better quality than the typical aftermarket exhausts.
Which, I think, were Klarius.

Don't want to rain on your parade guys, but I'm 99% sure the pipe diameter is different.
HDi's have a 70-odd mm clamp at the front of the middle pipe & a 60-odd mm at the back box connection.
On the V6 & petrol turbo both clamps are the bigger size

I can confirm a rear box for a saloon fits a treat, and half the price!! The only difference being the tailpipeDoggy wrote:Don't want to rain on your parade guys, but I'm 99% sure the pipe diameter is different.
