When looking at cars, can I use Service Box to check original FAP fitment?
I checked the 406, which is NON-FAP and Service Box doesn't list it but doesn't actually state NON-FAP or Pre-FAP or FAP-ready
Can I assume if was there it would be clearly shown??
Thanks

Re: FAP shown in Service box?
I'd have thought so, hold on... Using the vin from my ex-D9: Under characteristics -> Fuel supply-engine -> PARTICLE FILTER WITHOUT PARTICLE FILTER
Using the vin from a certain 2.2HDi estate: PARTICLE FILTER PARTICLE FILTER
Using the vin from a certain 2.2HDi estate: PARTICLE FILTER PARTICLE FILTER

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: FAP shown in Service box?
Well spotted that man.
and to prove the point, our 406 comes up 'without' whereas the 2.7 407 I've just looked at comes up 'particle filter'
Won't be buying that one then, apart from which it sounded very loose for a good 2-3 seconds before the oil struggled up to pressure.
Question is were any of the 2.7 lumps 'without'?

I think all 407s were so inflicted

I've collected a few vins off this forum over the years so I can look up specific stuff on Service Box. I'm not sure if this is one of yours, could be, but I'll not be making the list commercially available...Doggy wrote:Kindly elaborate......
