I got just over 900 out of my old hdi 90 and that had 180k on the clock, my current 110 struggles to get 650 but I think that's down to my brakes binding

I don't drive like a granny at all, new K&N replacement filter, use Shell V-Power ever time now too.

Pay day yesterday so filled her up today, reset the trip computer and mileage thingy and will see how many miles I can get on a full tank now running it down to empty.

Had approx 500 miles per tank when I got her on shite regular unleaded, and now average 350-400 (if im lucky) with Shell V-Power. Wouldn't trade the increase in performance with the decent fuel for the better economy though.

However I would hapilly trade my 2.0 for a 3.0 V6 though :P

Since sorting out the brakes and optimising my slipstreaming style (going for as close to "economy perfection" indicated 62mph as possible instead of the slowest trucks as I used to) I'm now regularly getting 600 to the tank with a comfortable 10 litres or so to go, even with a few bad traffic days... Tank average 42mpg

Pure motorway driving I reckon I could quite easily exceed the 900 mile mark provided I had a decent artic to slipstream for all of it and good traffic

I'd love to drive a diseasel for a fortnight of commuting - I'd be able to quote some right daft economy numbers ;)

The most I ever had was 520 and that was with me being very careful with my right foot and was all motorway. I'd love 600!

Well this week I've done 561 miles and the needle's half way through the 'empty' area which means it's got just under 100 miles to go (unreliable as I'm not parked on the flat today). Yesterday morning I only managed 39.5mpg on the way to work because of the rain but other than that it's been a fair week with a good selection of artic lorries to slipstream.

It does help that nearly all my driving is on clear motorways, which is why I leave for work before 6am... When you do 600 miles a week in a petrol, you learn how to get the best possible economy! 8)

My HDi90 (well it's actually 125 now!) always returns at least 700 with the re-map and that's driven hard on A and B roads, I guess that's 5-10% better than when the car was stock :cheesy:

I'm going to hit 675.4 miles on a tank tonight. If I don't, I'll have some walking down the A500 to do ;) Reckon if the traffic's good I should do it with about a litre to spare

I should make a new sport out of this - EXTREME GRANDAD DRIVING! The world's biggest event could be the "G3" - Generation-G(eriatric) Games...
