Hi
Blower motor was sometimes cutting out, sometimes not coming on (briefly) and then working fine for quite a period of time.
It's now not coming on (but I still get the fan display on the dash) I checked the fuse this runs off and it's a 40A engine bay fuse (no. 18) that is also used by the starter motor, so can't see that being the fault.
Is it likely to be the resistor (6441.L2)? Is that easy enough to fit? Other possibility is the power feed to the blower motor, but I'm thinking due to the intermittent way it stopped working to either be the resistor or the actual blower motor itself.
Car is a D9 with A/C.
Thanks

Re: Blower motor
It's either the resistor pack, or the ignition barrel switch.
Both are around £20 on eBay.

No power going to the resistor pack so looks like the ignition barrel switch. Would you know the Peugeot part no. for that? There's a few different ones on eBay. Car is a D9 2.2.
Thanks

I think that's more a D8 issue. I could be wrong of course...

Re: Blower motor
Have you checked for power going into the climate control unit - if there is power going in then this might be your culprit.
Did you check power to the blower with the engine running?
Steve, the ignition was dodgy on my wife's Picasso, although it was a semi mux car...
New harness from eBay was an inch short but managed to connect it up, just...
Worked fine after.

Re: Blower motor
Hi All
Apologies for joining this thread a little late in the day, but I'm experiencing the similar problems on my 2002 110HDi Estate. The display shows auto or fan icon with blades filled or unfilled depending on how much fan I want, but the fan is not working.
I'm not 100% certain where to start, but will try to establish whether there is a +ve at the end going into the fan initially. I'll check the fuse stated above as well and report back.
Pete
