Thankyou It's hard to believe that was more than 12 years ago now
You're hoping there are 2, 1 is standard (brake lights, ecu), the other is either there or it isn't - mine wasn't (I thought it might be still hiding somewhere until I found empty positions in the ecu connector) I had to put wires in myself from the switch to the ecu connector.
Some later Pugs had a brake light switch that did both, I've no idea if that would suit the 406 though.
Just picking up on this thread as I would like to fit cruise to my 2002 406 110HDi Rapier Estate. Is there a list of things I need to do anywhere? From what I can see:
Find a red cable above the brake pedal and fit a switch adjacent to the brake light switch
Fit the cruise stalk
Get the setup enabled using a PP2000?
Starting from scratch here so are there any other things I need to be aware of such as checking what type of ECU?
It's not insurmountable but it's a PITA if it isn't there. Umm, maybe check the options in Peugeot Planet. I cant imagine they wouldn't be there but...
I'm happy to help, you are welcome to pop over and see if we can get it up and running.
I've charged the laptop
