Anyway, I'm not liking the idea of the glass rubbing against the plastic. This will unduly tax my window motors.
I'm going to investigate this further. I might even pop by the stealers and see what they say.
And now, my latest mods

I use aircon for that... ;)Blue406 wrote:helps keep my windows from steaming up.
But mostly for fresh cool air when its a hot day.
BTW, do any estate owners other than me get a headache-inducing deep base pulsing sound when the back windows are opened? I discovered the other day that if I opened the window behind me, I could stop the pulsing by opening the front passenger window about half an inch!
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
The only online fitting instructions I can find are these for the 307 & 407 (scroll down 1/2 way)

sorry for multiple posting, but think I MAY have found to be Blue's problem with loose fitting.Look at the picture at the bottom of this seller's page where he talksabout internal vs. external fitting :Just possibly the Peugeot ones he has MAY be designed to fit/stick outside, maybe then lacking the bit that ,on the internal fit, goes just behind the door mirror.

I'm beginning to think the ones I have are designed to stick on the outside.
They were stuck on the donor 6 with a hefty glued vinyl strip of OEM quality. Almost the same stuff they stick the windscreen on with, only grey in colour.
They were perfectly aligned too.
It didn't look like some half assed DIY job.
Took me a few minutes to remove each one and an hour to get the remained sticky stuff off of each one.

Correct.....just looked at the picture of one in the 406 Accessories booklet (vzp 778, 08/01) and it shows it stuck on the outside, just as it was with the earlier 405 ones.
It is the newer, aftermarket ones that have a slightly different form to enable them to fit IN the window slot.
