I am getting water dripping in from the headliner cutout where the alarm sensors fit in the front close to the windscreen. I have a factory fit glass sunroof with slideback screen inside.
For the record, my Pug is a 2003 (53) plate executive estate (HDI 110) ..just passed 100K miles.
I checked around the sunroof rails but couldn't see any drain points - any ideas what might be the cause and how to fix?
I had the same problem on my D8. It was the aerial base that was letting the water in. I removed the light panel completely and it was quite difficult to sort out because as far as I could see the headliner would have had to be removed. I just put loads of Silicone sealer from where I could get to before putting the panel back in. Since then I haven't had any water getting through. I did notice one thing though and that was the contacts for the sunroof switch. The water had corroded them. I small file sorted that out. My D8 started doing this when it was about 4 years old, so it seems that pug still have this problem. Now that you have mentioned this, I'm going to take off the panel in my D9 and seal that incase it happens on that.
My ariel is at the rear of the roof near the rear hatch ... seems a long way for water to travel to pop out on the A pillar! Of course water flows downhill pretty rapidly - I'll check.
I had the same problem on my estate and it was the sunroof drain pipe blocked. Remove the grab handle, the windscreen trim panel, pull off the door seal and pull the roof lining down. You will then see the rubber drain tube. I pulled mine of and just blowing down it cleared it. No more leaks.
Hope this helps.
